That's the sort I have in my garden. I have been propagating them ever since - about 15 years.....from 6 of the Cambridge variety. They have been stirling albion through the years...

Hmmm--Strawberries--they always remind me of the time when I visited my Auntie many moons ago- She always had a good crop of Strawberries-but when I visited they disappeared one by one--(I used to sneak out and eat the ripe ones) Then she would complain that 'something' was wrong with her crop--not knowing it was me! ;D I used to feel so guilty -- I dont have the space for Strawberry growing -Pity- because the ones that are sold in the Supermarkets/shops just dont taste the same as Homegrown ones--

The only strawberries we are growing at the moment are alpine ones in pots - not strawberry pots though, I get into such a mess and make such a mess with those. Hubby spotted my long tom pot last night and thinks they will be better in that than the present one.
They would look good hanging as well Sleepy, thanks, hadn't thought of that
(PS - bought them from Grimes Graves 4pygmies and they seem to love our garden!)

I have some hexagonal green pots, decent sized but not too deep, and I shall plant 3 to a pot.

I don't know Biggles - it's an English Heritage site just down the road from 4pygmies and they were selling some really nice plants when we visited, wish I had bought more now, typical! We did have some runners on ours, I'll have a look tonight and if they are still there and I can take some off I'll let you know.
