I don't believe that could possibly work - I can only see it creating a lot of very neurotic dogs who are bitterly resentful of their owners for winding them up with those dreadful noises!

I don't believe that could possibly work - I can only see it creating a lot of very neurotic dogs who are bitterly resentful of their owners for winding them up with those dreadful noises! We have recently got one and it was recommended by the dog baviour specialist at the vets, as Souki is scared of any noise, especially fireworks. It started one year, we think, when we were late back, due to traffic and the people behind us (not here) had just started a display. Our neighbours down the road, said t was the second one they had done, as they had similar fireworks mid afternoon, when it wasn't dark!! They weren't ordinary ones either, as they really were loud ones. You put it on quietly and over a set time, then gradually increase the noise leve, to a level they will be used tol. That's the theory anyway.
