It was them was it? I heard something on the news and missed the shop involved, as I was in the kitchen. The thing they will try and say is, that a 2.5inch folding blade, isn't illegal if used for a proper purpose. I will do the boycott, as I think this was very silly/stupid even, in the times we live in now!! We've only used the shop twice, so won't be missing it!!

Pretty evil, eh? These bloody, irresponsible shops should be prosecuted.....and I will never cross their threshold again (but since I've never even heard of them, don't shop much, me - it's no great sacrifice...) . Feeling quite communist again now Can we all bombard them with hostile emails maybe? I will if you will....

Bombarding Nestles would be better.

If you ignore it's warlike connotations I mean.........I think it sounds quite furry and buzzy. It's a good all round sound. Rolls off the tongue a treat - like catatonic. Another rather attractive word. OK - need Frosties...gone into babbledom now (that's nice too...) 'Somme' even sounds sonorous and doomladen doesn't it?

Thanks 4P - how frightening is that! I cannot believe that they would be so interested in making money that they would put so many lives at risk - it's an outrage!

I wonder who the suppliers are!! kids are being encouraged to take knives on the streets, these people should be prosecuted, I couldnt believe my eyes in Freiburgh in Germany I went into a shop that was like Lakeland plastics over here and they had a counter Full of the deadliest looking weapons it makes me sooo mad that anyone can go in and buy these things and I believe that a knife is deadlier than a gun.

It is incredible that the buyer for TkMaxx has so far not been prosecuted. I would be interested to know if he/she keeps their job too...... what an incredibly irresponsible thing to sell !

It's unbelievable really I think - every week some young person gets knifed to death - so a fashion store starts selling them as an accessory! I just cannot understand how these people can stand to look at themselves in the mirror every day. What a horrid world it is really.........

Our local tk maxx has shut down, they never recovered from an incident where an young child was horribly burnt when someone threw a petrol bomb into the store. I've shopped there many times, but will not be going in again.

I don't believe them. They've done it again, with 20 inch blades, that you can unscrew from a walking stick!!! Try this link.

I've only been in the Leicester Tk Maxx once, but I know that a lot of families shop there as the prices are so low. Leicester used to have a thriving clothing industry, especially hosiery and knitwear. But since places like M&S have been sourcing abroad most of the local companies have folded. It's a terrible shame. Nowadays when I buy clothing (not that often) I try to buy British made wherever I can. Better quality on the whole methinks altho more expensive. Also since many department stores have been buying in their clothing from abroad the sizes have gone up the creek! Nobody seems to manufacture clothing for British Bodies anymore...the sleeves are always too short AND jacket length etc...the sizes seem to be based on a much shorter population! (sorry 4P ) In some shops these days I can still fit into size 14! yet in others even a 20 is too small.... (I reckon I'm basically a size 16-18) it's so frustrating! We no longer seem to be a manufacturing nation...it's sad. But I digress....I will boycott Tk Maxx..I've known about Nestle for yonks and think that it's a disgrace that it's still going on. It's similar to what the giant pharmaceutical companies do in developing countries. Exploitation for financial gain. Criminal.
