The witch, they are fantastic photographs, what wonderful detail on his wings.
I think we have a book at home (just not sure where!) so will try and have a look to see if we can identify it.

Is that quite a big one, The witch? I had one similar, I think I mentioned it, in our garden, but can't find the link to what I thought it was!

Possible I suppose, but the one we had was quite a large one. I really need a book on them, tbh.

WOW! They are stunning pictures The witch - the wings are so fine they look like cave drawings or something. Clever girl!

lovely pic The witch...I am partial to dragonflies me..they're so purty, we get a lot in the garden in the late summer usually as there's a large pond a few hundred yards away...plus a lot of the locals have garden ponds.
my cat likes to catch dragonflies....naughty pussycat.
