Have any of you ever come across wild strawberries while out walking? We all went for a walk last week and my daughter spotted something red and small growing in amongst the ivy and dandelions on the roadside banking. She said "Mam, are these strawberries?" I took a look, and low and behold, there were tiny, tiny strawberry plants growing wild! We picked a few and ate them. They were delicious...really sweet! I'm not advocating picking strange berries and eating them, but I was 100% sure these were strawberries What a treat! ;D

We have alpine strawberries running wild in pots and they are lovely! Small and sweet.

Hmm,wild strawberries.I,m lucky enough to live at the bottom of a wooded dale that is full of these. They are just perfect mini strawberries, but sweeter and very easy to identify as the leaves are also just like a smaller version of the big plants, they also have a gorgeous scent of strawberries which you can often smell as you walk past them. These are also really easy to grow and you can usually pick up seeds or seedlings on ebay from 99p to a couple of pounds.I cheated and dug a couple up
