I have seen a few for sale. Just wondered if anyone has any experience of them. My solar lights in the garden are OK, but some seem to dim very early. Any advice welcome. I am thinking of getting a water feature for the patio. We have got an outside electricity junction box, but it would mean wires etc.

I think you need a well lit spot for them to do any good. I don't have any experience of them, other than the lights and my oxygenator, that's stopped working, recently. Lights seem OK, especially the ones out in the open, away from plants, so they get a good deal of sun on the little panel. autumnfruits.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=waterfeatures&action=display&thread=1088

Thanks Keith and The witch, I think as I am North facing, the sun passes around the front of the house and although we get some sun, particularly in the evenings, if I decide to go for it I think electricity would be best. Just got to pursuade OH now

The one we have only works if it is in direct sunlight only! We ended up using it in a large plant pot with water in it, as as it floated around the pond it got a bit too close to the edge and started emptying it! If the sun goes in it goes off, if a shadow is cast it goes off. I really don't recommend one.

Yours must be a better one than ours! It became quite amusing when the sun would go in and out! We don't use it now, there's that many triffids in the back it causes so many shadows throught the day too, we gave up in the end.
