I saw a lesser spotted woodpecker in my garden today. The first I have seen for several years. Bet it was gone when you got the camera, but thats brilliant Sleepy, never seen anything like that near where I live.  |

I saw a lesser spotted woodpecker in my garden today. The first I have seen for several years. Aren't they beautiful? Ours was back on the peanuts today actually, for the first time for a few days. I love the way they 'flute' through the air as they fly away too. |

We had one last year knocking holes in the weeping willow, haven't seen one yet this year tho.
