It flowers Christmas as well The witch but this year maybe half a dozen blooms as soon as the warmer weather comes I take it outside and stand the pot in a raised long container that is on and East facing fence I nearly forgot it this year it was getting very cold when I saw it and brought it in.! I might have given it a feed when I was watering the orchids but I know I ran out of flowering houseplant food a long time ago and I keep forgetting to buy it as I have a big bottle of green foliage food and I have tomato feed that I dilute for orchids.

Its in the shade The witch I put it in amongst my herbs on the west fence, it looks really pink and neglected when I bring it in! that might be the secret it thinks its a goner. ;D
But my in-laws had the most beautifully Easter cactus that was never moved off the dining room table! oh it must have been! but probably only on a Sunday as the rest of the week they used to sit and eat off a card table , it was double the size of mine and I wouldn't be surprised if they watered it with cold tea.

Mine (xmas cacti) holiday a pot hanger on an east facing fence under a tree and come in before the frosts, they are always very happy there all summer.

Here's one of the specimens that Mick gave me when we all went to Barnsdale, my mom had it as she was rather taken by it and look what it did!! The background wasn't the best so I'm not sure how well it has shown up

That's a Gasteria.
What's that weed doing in the pot?

I dunno, maybe adding softness to the harsh edges of the cacti, seriously though I'm not sure I'll have to ask my mom. These are her other cacti, have no idea what they are,

Echeveria leucotricha at the back, a mammillaria lower down at the back and (I think) another Mammillaria at the front.
They lookmin very good condition.

The dark green one was covered in flowers a few weeks ago, i told her to take a pic but she forgot. The big white one at the front, I bought from my school when I was 9 and it was tiny, no, bigger than the top joint of your finger, I had a baby one off it last year.

Yes, not sure whether it has this year, but it has lovely bright orange flowers, similar shape to the ones on the christmas cacti.
I'll ask her if it has flowered yet this year.

My mom say's they haven't flowered yet, but she can see little buds forming and she will be poised with a camera ready for when it does.
I've got a flower on another cactus you gave me, i'll have to get a pic.

My mom said that the gasteria was dripping a sap all over the Peace Lily below, she then put the lily outside and the ants are going crazy!
She's worried that it'll attract ants in her veranda is this likely?

She's worried that it'll attract ants in her veranda is this likely? Ants in her veranda. Is that like ants in her pants? Very unpleasant. Gasterias do drop a lot of nectar. I have one in my porch doing that very thing.
