Milk never lasts long enough in our house - I'd never have thought of freezing it anyway.

I would buy in UHT by the crateful I would need a huge freezer otherwise, are there any shops close to where you are moving then?

Ooo yes - 2 pubs, a Costcutter with a good butcher, post office, newsagent, vets not sure what else ATM - we just have a pub and a tiny post office here.

I too, have just found this!
We have plastic 500ml, 1 & 2 litre bottles that are re-cycled, so can't see why anyone would want to go back to cardboard. They were tried here 20 years ago and were discontinued in favour of plastic.
personally, I liked the glass bottles the best!

Bringing back glass bottles would be brilliant - I remember as a child taking the empties back to the shop and being allowed to buy sweets with the money - 3 old pence, (just over a penny today) per bottle. I might get blue tits in the garden, then. Keith

Arent they in carton form rather than bottle? I think it is a good idea when you think of the tons of plastic that has to be got rid of. I did see once that fleece jackets were being mde from recycled plastic bottles but then what happens to the fleece jackets when finished with?
