Yep! I stand corrected. I think the BBC was talking about it being trillions of miles in diameter. Either way it would takes weeks to traverse even in a fast car!

The sky has been beautiful recently...really clear...and we've been looking at Saturn and Mars lately. ;D I'm trying to get OH to take some images of Saturn to post on here but our telescope isn't as good as the one we've been using at Dad's so the pics wouldn't be that good I'm afraid.

I don't know what I'm looking at but I do like to see it! Driving back from Luton yesterday evening we had a lovely time watching the stars coming out - it was beautiful. It was incredibly clear and the stars were really bright. Where are Mars and Saturn in the sky, Cheery?

Saturn is in Leo this month...once you get your 'eye in' you start to recognise the difference between Stars and Planets. Towards the end of the month Saturn is very near the Moon...I'll post the link to the BBC My Space sky maps...that gives more details if you scroll down the page ;D www.bbc.co.uk/science/space/myspace/nightsky/observingnotes.shtml
