We have a family joke, its an emmerdale farm jigsaw and every year someone in the family has it for a gift a christmas Good idea!! When our friend said, she would NEVER EVER EVER get rid of a puzzle bought for her as a present, I told my SIL and Jennifer, never buy her any again!! ;D Keith

Mum and dad keep theirs but don't frame them. They do really difficult puzzles too, with lots of pieces ;D

As it's Christmas (well nearly) can I put a photograph of the jigsaw I've just finished on here please? Not a brilliant photograph - the flash has reflected in the 'fire' It was a birthday pressie from hubby and he also gave me a Jigsort as in the picture below The puzzle is done in the base and then there are four sort trays each with its own lid, they are placed in position over the top and it then fits into the carrier/folder (like an artists folder). The pieces do not move! I do like to wander past a jigsaw and put pieces in as I go which cannot be done if it is away.

Gosh, that's a big un Myrtle! All that red........well done! I do enjoy jigsaws but get very possessive about them and get very cross if people try and 'help' me with mine....and then all the cats leaping on them tends to destroy hours of work in a picosecond, which gets very irritating, so I don't do many these days. ;D We usually get one on the go at Christmas though and I have to let everyone have a go : It's good to share as a family at this special time of year............ ..but it's incredibly annoying as even my colour blind, dyslexic OH has a go sometimes......and smallest tends to ram bits in as she is convinced she's got the right bit.......sigh.....

I thought I was the only one 4pygmies who got like that, BiL brought his two children round when I was doing another one, and I was 'no that doesn't go there, be careful, don't touch!' etc! Hubby buys them to keep me quiet! He rang a friend and suggested he buy some for his wife - the reply was 'It'll take more than a jigsaw to shut her up'! Last Christmas I had a Thomas Kinkade set of three - he was disappointed to find that they were in separate bags inside the box!

He agreed to let me compost the blooming thing after that! Yours look lovely though BM, you should frame it and put it up every christmas!

Myrtle, that is a lovely jigsaw! It would look really neat framed and on the wall.
My wife and I love doing jigsaws, we have boxes of them in the attic gathering dust. We might just get them down, put them together and frame them too!
we like ours to have not less than 1,500 pieces and have a piece of plywood that goes on top of the bed in the spare room so we can do a bit at a time. Our cat helps us sometimes too!
