Ohnooooooo....wasn't it AWFUL? And the legend of the little Scottie dog who wouldn't leave his dead master's grave.....sniff....I can't bear to think about them - let's stop now. I'm ill you know! ;D I think that's Greyfriars Bobby - even the name makes me come over all unnecessary. Beautiful film and one for a massive hanky! Sleepy how tragic a story is that! Great photo Keith.

I always wondered about a dovecote myself, but if it got full, wouldn't it get a bit noisy? Wouldn't mind it full of collared doves though! Can you imagine! I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, then a youngster or hybrid, oh I really don't know! Keith Theirs looks quite small (I haven't been across to look at it, I'm not that neighbourly!). I'm not sure why they decided on the front garden though. We did pick up a leaflet once from a GC because we would quite like one, But I don't remember much about them.

It's awful though! I was screaming so much I had to be removed from the cinema the first time I saw it (age 4) and I still can't bear it....I never watch Lassie fims etc either - always howl like a baby. You should have seen me in the first 3 minutes of The Lion King. in the Circle of Life bit - sobbing like a total wally within seconds. My family thought it was hilarious.....I am terrible : me too as well also....I've never watched the lullabye bit in Dumbo..the Lion King bit where the Daddy Lion turns up in the clouds to talk to his son...the 'Bright Eyes' bit in Watership Down...the Star Trek film where Spock dies... I didn't get upset when Snow White died in the cartoon.....but I was terrified of the Witch....(as an adult as well as when I was little)...I'm quite sentimental these days. Anything can set me off....

Nah, it's just to annoy the next door neighbour! They do it quite often - there's a battle over a fence in the front garden going on at the moment! There were two collared doves in our garden last night! Didn't manage a photograph, but had the bino's to hand - they look so sleek and silky.

'Twitterpated' is from Walt Disney's Bambi...I have spent far too many years watching children's films..... ;D (I still can't watch the bit where Bambi's Mum gets shot though....sob) The first time I heard that 4Ps it was the little boy we used to live next door to us years ago (cor 40) doesnt time fly!! he was 2ft tall red haired with freckles ;D the bairns were watching a sparrow performing his courting ritual on the fence and he said its Twitterpated I had never heard it before I thought he had made it up. ;D

What are you suggesting, that I am a sort of bird pervert? Actually it was all over in a blink of an eye, or the fact I saw them after they had been going for some time!! ;D

All pigeons are just about full size by the time they leave their nest. That's why you don't ever see small baby pigeons.

This poor baby isnt ready to fly, his feathers arent finished growing, but he has fallen from his nest. I think he may be a dove, his beak looks quite wrong for a pigeon. He has been in that garden for three days now, up and down into the shrubs but no further, and has managed to evade the cat population.
