I was trying for this shot or similar but getting it was a fluke, its with a manual 500mm mirror lense on a Canon 350D A greater water boatman the wrong way up and out of the water A damsel fly manual lense on an Olympus E500 For me a rare red damsel This is my favourite damsel shot with a Canon S2 IS on supermacro with the lense inches from the damsel A blue green damsel This is a 'wild' species on one the local dams and this is another home grown multicoloured damsel A dragon fly, I only have one species breeding here, this one, though I have been visited by a green WHOPPER but it didnt stay and I didnt have a camera to hand A species of spider that 'hangs out' over the wildlife pond A green damsel

Oh wow! You should have your own photo thread Sean - your pictures are fantastic. I love dragonflies - I get quite a few glorious ones in my PT even though I only have tiny tiny pond tucked away out of the sight of the children. They are amazing creatures. (the dragonflies, not the kids).
