One of the sites my brother and I visited yesterday was an ancient fort, in the centre there is an underground passage way and chamber and I wanted to take some photos of the ceiling. The shots captured stuff we, perhaps fortunately, couldn't see in the dark. I only spotted them when going through the shots last night on the PC.



Two roosting bats near the point of that pinkish rock, a wapping great spider and those silvery white pouch things that my brother said were filled with liquid.

There were chrysalids hanging in some of the other shots. Unfortunately the shots also showed up the 'modern repairs' made with concrete poured behind corrugated iron shuttering ;D

Those pouch thingies remind me of something, I wonder what they are, really?

I cant go in caves with comfort, I get scared easily as many already know.
I like to see the sky above and soil beneath my feet, for true comfort... I dont mind at all other people doing it and showing pictures, though....rather you than me, I say! ;D

I went into the caves at Cheddar Gorge once .........I held it together all the way, there were narrow walkways above unplumbed depths, vast expanses of rock above my head (ready to fall on me) and tunnels you had to bend almost double to traverse....I almost cut off the circulation in my friends hand while OH rambled happily along, ahead.

When I finally stepped out into glorious sunshine, next to a stream I burst into tears!

NOT doing that again!
