Dont ask where because I won't say other than the antrim coast, you never know what sort of evil beep beep could find them

You have to stop making me jealous, Sean. First it's your ponds, now it's wild seals. Tell me you haven't seen a golden eagle outside of a zoo, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!

I may have seen an golden eagle in the lakes once, I did an Outward bound course at Eskdale in the late 70's and saw a big BoP, I asked the instructor if it could be a GE and he rather warily said there was a single or pair. I cant remember if he said the bird was or was not a GE. There are no GE in N.Ireland though there is a colony in the mountains of Donegal and there was a GE spotted over Rathlin Island a few years ago but that was a visitor from either Scotland or Donegal. I would LOVE to see one up the coast or one of the Scottish sea eagles, I wouldnt be surprised if they make it over here sometime soon they must be fairly close by now. I think I have seen a peregrine going after coming into roost starlings up the coast but it was far far too quick to be sure and I hadnt a hope of catching it on camera. There is a sparrow hawk around here and I have seen it on a kill, collared dove, in the garden but I couldnt get a good shot of it.
Oh and once in the early 90's whilst in the Lakes with my girlfriend we were over flown by a pair of big BoP, dont know what they were, I was flat on my back trying to get a shot and the chuffing camera ran out of film, if I had spare film with me by the time I reloaded they were gone, boy did I swear. I cant remember which film it was but none from that time have BoP in them so it seems I may not have even got a shot but I did loose one film through age and not being developed

Just a may, then that's OK then!!!
I have seen most BoP except the eagles, but I have loved the Golden Eagle since I was a child. I think it was after a trip to London Zoo, where I saw one. Even seen an Osprey once, but obviously can't say where!!! My wife is scottish, and we visit her family regularly, so maybe there is time yet. We just have to stop going on boating holidays!!
