Im saddened but not surprised, there seems no limit to the cruelty! I believe some people deserve to be treated as they treat the animals they abuse

Oh that is terrible but it is so typical of the mindless morons out there nowadays it never ceases to amaze me how cruel some people can be.

I won't look either but I can imagine the barbaric cruelty going on.. I used to believe that everyone was the same and born equal and any differences between us were as a result of a lack of education/opportunities/bad choices but I don't anymore. There are lots of types of people but there is a large (and growing) population of subhumans in the world today to whom I have no connection at all - they are the ones who hurt children, animals, old people, who beat up their wives, who have a moronic need to bully, injure and destroy. They usually drink too much and use 'recreational' drugs to support their tiny, miserable lives and they are found in all walks of life. They are the negative people who have no imagination, creativity or empathy, who feed off fear and humiliation and, frighteningly, they are very difficult to recognise as they have a low cunning and sneaky skills in disguise. Most of the worst ones look quite normal. I call them Orcs.......
Sorry, I've just watched the news - they appear to be taking over the world and currently running some of the most powerful countries and institutions in the world.....

I agree with you 100% 4P - but what can be done about them? I would like to see stocks brought back into use - public humiliation. I must say, as I get older, I am warming to the idea of the punishment fitting the crime.......'do as you would be done by' has always seemed like the most sensible Commandment to me.

I agree with you 100% 4P - but what can be done about them? I would like to see stocks brought back into use - public humiliation. I've said this to lots of people, but one person said that they would come out of the stocks wanting vengence for being humiliated. I read the article this morning and felt sick to my skin. I've heard of kids pulling all the spines out of hedgehogs, now what punishment should these idiots get that would work? I really don't know. I've always said the punishment should fit the crime. If you steal, you should have something of yours taken away. If you kill (and proved without a shadow of doubt!!) you should have the death sentence. Not sure about people who rape others, but their needs to be a deterrent. At school and at home, I never mucked about, as I knew the consequences. I just feel so sorry for the terrapin, that kid(s), must have a warped mind! Keith

Isnt it a shame that these people who are better off than any generation before are greedy, cruel and seem to be without any feelings whatsoever! where do they come from? what kind of family's do they come from?

I've just read this - I feel a Hulk moment coming on whenever I hear or read about something like this. Stocks and pillary seem a bit mild to compensate for this, unless they're in the stocks with bangers and jumping jacks being hurled at 'em.
