Mike got a German Shepherd puppy for me two weeks ago. She was 9 weeks old and already 20 pounds! May I present our newest family member, Rani:

Argh, she's lovely! Aren't they fantastic when they're still all leggy and gambolly? She's got big ears! Are you going to train her to alert you to the Toxic Neighbour's activities? She could patrol the boundary and bark every time she gets within 2 metres of the fence.....

Ahhh such a cutie, my uncle used to be a dog handler with the police and all the dogs used to come home with him, and they lived with him full time when they retired. German shepards are such a clever breed.

She does need to grow into those ears doesn't she? I worry the Toxic One doesn't throw some poisoned bait over for her or our other dog, Daisy. No Toxic sightings since she had a talk with the police. . Rani is very smart but needs to work on that housebreaking more. Seems like someone always has a mop. LOL!

She is very pretty C3D How is she getting along with all the other animals? I know what you mean with the mopping, BTW, I have recently stopped dog sitting my sons puppy for various reasons, and I did spend an awful lot of time mopping!

Hi all. Rani certainly has livened up an otherwise boring home. We're doing much better with the potty training and had only one pee on the floor overnight. No poop! WooooHoooo! LOL! We only had one pee accident so far today too! She wants to play with the cats and does with three of them. There are two that just sit back and DARE her to make a move toward them and Giovanni stays in the basement away from her for now. She has not eaten any furniture but has taken to ~thinning~ the plants outside. Water lettuce is rescued from their near drowning experience of the pond and recover as they dry in the sun. We apparently had too many petunias and thrift plants. The lawn looks sooo much better with wilted petunias in the grass. The azalea plant we bought last week was *just* pruned to half what it had been. But she's having a wonderful puppyhood.

Hi Maggy. I dunno! Maybe your pup is "talking" to the ones on the TV? Here's Rani and Daisy in this mornings snow:

They look as if they love the snow ;D we havent had any to speak of just a smattering so it will be interesting to see how my little dog reacts when we get some deep snow!
My Son was in New York last week when it snowed he said it was the first time he would be coming home from holiday and it be warmer here! But he said it did look lovely when they looked out of the hotel room.
