At a guess I'd say about 10 weeks old - she took a shine to my bed! That was taken about 15 or 16 years ago though The witch!!! I'm trying to find a more up to date piccy so you can see what she's like now ;D

This is Poppy now, or rather last summer, sporting a necklace that LP made for her: And this is Poppy after a bath! She had dandruff last year so I washed her in Head & Shoulders - it did the trick but she sulked for a long time ;D

She is lovely cat Plocket - reminds me of a black cat we had years ago. ;D The thought of bathing a cat gives me the shudders.

It was a bit of a nightmare The witch! We took her to the vet for a checkup and they thought she had mites of some sort in her fur. The medicine cost us a fortune and was a right palava: we had to massage the green slime into her fur then leave it on for 10 minutes without her licking it, and then wash it off. It involved me holding Poppy in the sink while OH squirted the stuff on, and I had to hold her and rub the slime at the same time. When it came to rinsing I had to hold Poppy while OH poured water over her. LP held the towel and spent most of the time laughing!!! And we had to do that every three days for a fortnight or something!!!! It didn't work so I ended up trying H&S which did the trick!!! ;D

What a nightmare Plocket - the trouble is, try as we might to explain to our pets that it's for their own good, they don't seem to believe us : ;D

Yes they are very forgiving creatures, especially if there is a tasty morsel involved. ;D

Poppy's getting a bit daft these days where feeding is concerned. OH feeds her when he gets home from work at about 6.00pm but if he ever has a half day or comes home early Poppy assumes that he's going to feed her then!!! ;D

Mine know that they get a treat of half a tin each of Petite Pate on Saturday mornings - it took us a while to work out how they knew it was Saturday though. We thought they knew is was Saturday because OH didn't go to work, but they didn't expect the tinned treat on Sundays or when he was home on leave. We realised a couple of years ago that the clue was that Saturday is the only day we have the Telegraph delivered - Gizmo will sit on the page I'm reading until I go into the kitchen to dish up their treat - little tinker ;D. Oh and we can't say fish in our house now we have to spell it out ;D

PML! As I said on the other cat thread - your cats are spoiled!!! I love how they like to dominate though - sitting on the newspaper and the like. My mum makes quilts and you can probably imagine the fun our first cat had when mum was laying out the pieces on the floor!!!!!

I'm trying to knit a shawl for our first grandchild, and very trying it is too when the cats are about - I have to wait for them to either go out or go to sleep ;D i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/The witch-in-Norfolk/Smiley/knitting.gif[/IMG]

We went on the bus and had her in a basket...well she's a VERY timid cat...the noises and smells of the busy evening bus FULL of people scared her soooo much she squitted in the basket...PPPPPOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH what a stench. People were gagging and trying to hold their breath...we were apologising and the bus driver had to have the door open. We were thrown off the bus (at our stop achully ;D) and when we got home I had to hold her in the in the sink whilst OH washed the offensive material out of her fur....the cat basket went in the dustbin! (after a thorough rinse still couldn't get rid of the smell). To look at her you wouldn't believe butter would melt in her mouth....... ;D

Oh the poor little thing! I only ever took Poppy to the vet on the bus once and she behaved beautifully - she'd just had her kittens and I was having them checked out by the vet, and I think she was more concerned with looking after them than everything else that was going on!
