The main thing with bowl fishtanks is a decent area of surface water. As long as the bowl isn't too full the fish will be fine.

How warm does the conservatory get in summer. If it gets too hot you may need a little air pump. With no filter, don't overfeed and change 10-20% of the water on a weekly basis. Use a dechlorinater in the new water as well. Reminds me of that Terry and June programme about his goldfish in a bowl. Store keeper kept saying 'you need a bigger tank'. The programme ended with the goldfish turning into a platy (I think) and being pregnant. I know says Terry, when the babies come along I will need a bigger tank. It was one of my favourites!! Keith

What's 20 litres in old money Are they goldfish? About ..........................this much.................The witch : Yes, they are goldfish and there is already a small air pump in the tank Keith. To be honest OH wanted a tropical aquarium so this is a short term compromise : . The goldfish will no doubt end up in the outside pond once the weather warms up a bit

I know The witch, I am not a lover of goldfish bowls, but if people have the right intentions, like Snowy obviously does, then I can live with it!! Keith

Does she think if she drinks all the water she`ll eventually reach the fish?

Cat grass - grows really easily but my two cats aren't interested. Neither are they interested in Catmint. In fact it's apathy all round at the moment. They've been skulking around all day wanting some different food - they usually like this one but they've gone off that too. They're being as infuriating as they possibly can be until they get a result. Blinkin' cats indeed!

Poppy prefers muddy puddles to tap water!!! You've got it spot on Mrs B - filching means it's special!

My cats prefer Hills Science Diet Rabbit flavour, and as a treat they get half a tin each of Hilife Petit Pate Tuna twice a week. They both love Felix cat milk which has to be heated in the microwave though : Both cats drink from the pond but Gizmo prefers to drink from the bath tap. ;D i33.photobucket.com/albums/d75/The witch-in-Norfolk/Lavender%20Cottage/Cats/DSCF0014.jpg[/IMG]

Mine like sitting in the bath too, when it's empty, naturally.

Oh that is so cute The witch! Poppy isn't allowed upstairs so she's not allowed to sit in the bath, which is something she likes to do. She'd drink my bathwater if I let her!!! It does sound as though you spoil yours though - flavoured water and special milk? Goodness me!!! ;D
