Split from: sweetleafs+pondWhat are these? They are scoffing the Iris leaves Could be China Mark Moth caterpillars SL Have a look at this ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=151&detail=trueQuote from www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plantprofile_nymphaea.shtml - The China-mark moth can be a nuisance during summer by laying its eggs near the edge of leaves. They hatch into larvae that cut oblong-shaped pieces of the lily pads that they use to surround their body. They continue to nibble away while inside this protective coat, and eventually consume large chunks of foliage. The leaf-mining midge shreds the foliage but is a less common pest. Both the China-mark moth and the leaf-mining midge can be picked off badly affected leaves and fish will also help reduce their numbers.

Im hoping alright, Moths definitely freak me out, I was "attacked" by one once in a campsite shower, I couldnt run away as I was naked and soapy but it kept coming for my face, and it was huge, they get quite big in Devon! I hid under my towel till my mum came to find me.
