I've found some minute snails in my water garden - they measure about 5mm long. Should I worry bearing in mind there are quite a few?

Mmmm ......... well I wouldn't worry P - they usually graze on algae and decaying plant matter.

I wouldn't be over worried, unless they are either unsightly or nibbling at your plants. They normally feed on the algae or rotting plant matter, so in a way they can be a good thing.
Hope this helps.

Thank you both! Ok I won't worry unless they become HUGE snails!!! Our tadpoles have hatched though and I don't want the snails to eat what the tadpoles need

Dont worry about them, I have at least 4 species of snails in all my ponds, in fact I persuaded many a ramshorn snail to leap from garden centre plant tanks into my hands. I didnt realise thay could fly!!!
In truth ask first, some places sell snails and may object but no one I asked did object. I normally put them in a plastic bag with some water and dumped them into my ponds asap.
