that looks lovely, have you many fish, and 2 bird tables, do you get many birds on there, will have to post one of mine, mind you you cant see much with all the plants growing in and around the pond Sadly we don't live there any longer, we've moved umpteen times since! We had no fish, but lots of frogs came to breed and we had (at least) one huge toad. Bird life was abundant, too. It was this garden that taught me chemicals weren't needed in gardens, if you have the wildlife. Saved you replacing that fence panel then. eh?

Stunning Keith it really is ;D you did a first class job there. [/quote] Thanks The witch. All the rocks for the pond, came from the garden, either from the rockery I had dug up to build the pond or from the soil I had taken out. Note in the pic of the hole, you will notice the shelf isn't vary even in places, caused by rocks! I felt quite happy with it, if I say so myself!

We only found this out, when they came to measure up and I felt horrified and actually, so did our neighbour on that side. She actually said, she would build a pond, so that the frogs would have somewhere to go! They are a nice couple and we still keep in touch at Christmas time, so I do at least know, they did there bit, by building a pond in their garden. I've tried a Google Earth in the past, but it's not very clear, so can't say if they went through with it or not. I mentioned about the frogs, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears!! After I had dug the pond, the following year came the frogs and we never had any slug damage, though our hedgehog we had and the thrushes did their bit too, as probably did the mole we had once!
