We have had a lovely crop of squashes this year - some weigh about 4lbs I will be roasting one tomorrow ;D

Sounds yummy Elsie! They are quite expensive to buy aren't they? My middle daughter loves them - she wants me to grow them next year...which ones did you grow? (I don't know much about them shamefully.......)

Congratulations Elsie, as Sweetleaf said it has not been a good year for Squashes here in the Birmingham area, too cold and too much rain, what variety did you grow? and where in the country are you? regards Steve.

We grew Muscade de Provence Butternut - Avalon and Metro Sweet Dumpling Spaghetti squash Took the pic before the squashes were washed!
