I'm sorry if everyone in the world has grown these before but I never have. They are FANTASTIC! They were quite slow to start but over the last month they have put on pounds and pounds of tomatoes..I am really pleased. I buy lots of tinned toms so I wanted to have a go at bottling some plum ones and these were recommended. They have taken over one side of my PT and look brilliant. What a huge amount of fruit each plant carries as well, quite large and firm too. I'd better get myself ready to bottle them all - anybody ever done it? Please?

They are LOVELY! I've been making lots of pasta sauce, pizza topping and grilling with them and it is much tastier than tinned toms. Yum!

If I save their seed, will they come back true? I can't remember whether they are hybrid seeds or not? If they are OK to keep - I can send you some, Mick, for next year.

The witch, as ever, my old copy of 'The Self Sufficient Gardener' by John Seymour has a thorough and clear explanation of bottling fruit. The man was brilliant. Thanks for looking though X

I have bottled tomatoes. I used to bottle in brine for use in winter. We used to open a jar, strain the brine and warm in a saucepan and then have the tomatoes on toast. They were lovely.
