Hi, Craig's carrots in the tub, have been decimated by the rain! Is it too late to go again or do we leave it until next year? If not what else can we grow in his tub, now? The others, Stephen's beetroot, my dwarf runners and Jennifer's peas are all doing OK! Well the peas are now after being attacked by snails. I go out now every night and not had any for a while now, so they are picking up! Keith

No, I think you'd be OK, Keith, to sow again. Get some of the short, stumpy, quick maturing types like Early Nantes and get them in asap.

I've not told him yet, how do I, he was so proud of them? There maybe about 3/4 left, are they worth keeping? Should I change the compost completely? Keith

No, I should leave them well alone - they are a very tough veggie - you might be quite surprised how quickly they recover. Just make sure the pot is draining properly if it got water logged. Mine look knackered in the ground so you're not alone. As long as they haven't had too much top exposed, as that makes them go green (so maybe add some more compost if so), I bet you get a crop still!

I will give them a few more days to see if the few we have left pick up! Thanks Keith

I just pulled all my carrots and only got enough for two meals.... then I sowed two more rows, the pack said to sow as often as required throughout summer into autumn so theres plenty of time Keith! The variety I sowed was Autumn King.
