We might not use it completely this year but at least we've got it and can get it ready for next year.

We might not use it completely this year but at least we've got it and can get it ready for next year. Now you have plenty of space you could have a pond, which will help deal with the slugs, aw well as adding an unusual and attractive feature

I'm never EVER going to get sunburnt again!!
That sunburn I had from that sunday on the allotment gave me one of the most painful weeks of my life.
I couldn't sleep, I couldn't lean back on anything, and when it blistered it looked most attractive I must say!!
It managed to calm down in time for the wedding on saturday and not look too night of the living dead!

Went to the lottie this afternoon, only managed about half an hour as my daughter was whinging and my pup was howling! Everything has sprouted after the rain. And I do mean EVERYTHING! The weeds have all popped through so i was trying to get them out with the hoe but didn't get very far, as Charlie my pup was doing his nut to get to me. So I just settled for watering, I'll be back in the morning minus daughter and pup to try and finish the weeding.

I've got a clematis for the shed to try and disguise it too! I asked my boss if he'd be able to get a clematis Montana for me, and he did (bless his cottons)! So I'm hoping that'll engulf the shed!

Hiya all, Emma and I went down the lottie today, we feel at a bit of a loss now all the digging has been done. I planted my clematis montana at the back corner of the shed so it can take over two sides at the same time. Sweetleaf was very kind and gave us lots of canes so I put some up and planted our Borlotti's Firetongue at the base of them. we're all going to be bum burping for england with all the beans we've got planted! We also planted some more lettuce which'll be a fortnight behind the other lot. and finally we did some weeding around all the things that needed doing, namely EVERYTHING.

Emma and I went down the lottie today, We erected the 10ft bean poles very drunkenly I might add. Then Emma's dad bought us the belfast sink he had promised us, so we dug a hole where we wanted that and stuck it in. We are going to make it into a mini pond, i'll bring some frogspawn from home and put it in, hopefully they'll help take care of the slugs! First of all we need to get a plug, or fill the hole with silicone. At the moment though we've pegged a piece of fleece and we've put a few seedlings in it like a mini coldframe.
I also sowed our purple grafitti cauliflower it'll be interesting to see how that goes.
