I'm posting about this on GWD but thought I'd post on here as well! We have a 3m x 1.7m plot, it started off as grass. OH has done most of the work on this I will admit!...all I've done really is help with the construction, advise about compost etc and I've done the planting. I was quite shocked when he decided that we could accommodate a veg patch in the back garden, as it is only a small space...anyway here's the link to the vegetable patch album in photobucket ;D s72.photobucket.com/albums/i179/Cheerypeabrain/Veg%20patch/So far I've planted 4 rows Lady Crystl taters, a row of onions (Ailsa Craig), some peas (greensage) around the little wicker obelisk and I've sown a block of beetroot (boltardy), spring onions and mixed salad leaves...I started off some dwarf french beans in pots yesterday as well... ;D

Brilliant CPB - and there's nothing quite as satisfying as eating home grown veg - yummy!!

My taters are doing well...I was pleased to note that at Wisley they were growing Lady Crystl too... ;D
Today I planted 2 cabbage plants...I've left just enough space for my dwarf beans...WHERE shall I put the courgette! (don't answer that!)

Hmmm I could if you wanted me to the roots only need a bit of space, you could let the leaves grow out over the edge of the bed?

My taters are being battered by the rain and a lot of them have been knocked over..... However the radishes, beetroot, carrots, courgette, tomato, sweetcorn , strawberries, onions, lettuce and beans are all doing well.
