When you planned you garden, did you have a colour theme in mind for the flowers and do you plant your borders like that? I called at a florists today and they were doing an arrangement and the lady had asked for every colour flower they could get - I know they weren't in the garden but WOW it was stunning! They are so used to doing colour themed arrangements that they didn't see is as quite as stunning as it was. It set me thinking - nature doesn't know about colour combinations or clashes and I think she does a good job. Just wondered what others think. We tend to buy what we like and have accidently ended up with borders that don't clash.

When i first started my garden i had read in a magazine or book that you should start with bold colours near to the house fading away to softer colours, so thats what I tried to do. It worked the first year but last year it became a bit bitty so I was thinking of mixing the whole lot up this year. - Thats if I find time now we have the lottie. I have to say i love a riot of colour not just one colour in a block. Maggy I love orange, not sure I would put it with bright pink though.
