of sowing has taken place. In the propagator (along with the cacti) are 5 varieties of toms, 3 of peppers plus black eyed Susans, Sunflowers etc.
Got to the allotment yesterday evening at last and sowed parsnips. Back there tonight for broad beans, leeks and spring onions. Onion sets will have to be next week. Supposed to rain at the end of the week which will be handy.

Are you growing indoor or outdoor toms Mick? A grew some Lady Di runner beans last year - very nice they were too.

Of course as soon as I sow on the allotment it stops raining. Dry as dust at present. Not even the weeds are germinating.

OK. Serious now (no Tenalady comments) I do have water facilities very near and I will have to start watering the seeds in after Easter if it doesn't get better. I will then mulch them over once I've cut the grass.
In Scotland over Easter.

I'll answer my own question. Just looked on the weather site and rain forecast from Tuesday on next week.

Looks like that bit of rain is already history. They're talking about the following week now although all you Brummies (and there are rather a lot of you now) might still be lucky. Looks like it will die a death before it reaches me.

Having stirred it up in the Banter Box I'm off to water the allotment now.
See you all tomorrow.
