I'm being strict with myself this year about what I sow and grow so I shan't do Chillis (don't like them), Sweetpeas (can't get them to go at all) or Ragged Robin (far too dry for them here) but I shall have a go at the rest.

I can get them to germinate and they usually get off to a flying start but they never do well once they're planted. It's usually so hot and dry here in the summer they go to seed very quickly. I'm sure it's me not pinching them out at the right time...I've just given up with them now....

Then I sow 3 to a 3" pot. I pinch out flowers when they show the first sign of fading - before the bean casing starts to develop.

Indeed - vital to keep cutting the flowers and not letting the pods develop. Do you grow in the ground or in pots?

I do all that too but I very rarely get lots more flowers forming. I really think it's the conditions - I can't stop spinach going to seed either..(even Superman, with all his powers, couldn't actually) It's very hot and dry here in a normal summer. Never mind, lots of other flowers love it.

I used to sow/plant them in the ground and run them up with the runner beans and I've also tried them in a half barrel. They were rubbish all ways ;D

They were rubbish all ways ;D I do mine in 2 very large pots with a wigwam of poles and they're always fine. However, I sow them direct in the pots. Not enough time to sow them in separate pots and transplant.

They were rubbish all ways ;D I can't grow sweetpeas successfully at this house, could at my last one. I am adding to this so I can follow any tips! Was going to sow some in autumn but as usual, didn't get round to it and had nowhere to put them! Would like to try some in pots though

Right!
This year I've got lots of new seeds to try.....
Mexican Sunflowers 3 sources to compare: RHS German ones! from RF T&M ones 'Arcadian'
The RHS ones are already pricked out, the T&M ones will be pricked out this weekend, and the German ones are still sulking....
Chillis: Numex Twilight (Nicky's seeds)
Peppers : Mini Sweet (D T Brown seeds)
Kohl Rabi
I've also sown loads of other stuff I've never tried before....but wasn't sure what everyone else is trying yet...

My Tithonia Rotundifolia are quite big now. I've given some away to family and I'm just going to plant 3 as they are such big plants. Trying 2 (the seed I got from RF and OM over on GWD didn't germinate) T&M 'Arcadian' and some I got from the RHS.
I'm afraid that I haven't sown any wild flowers....do centaurea and centranthus count?

I think they should! Cornflower is a very ancient field plant and Centranthus is thoroughly naturalised isn't it? I am not very organised this year so I don't think I'd better be a part of this trial...sorry....anything in the trial list that actually grows I can comment on though.

Same here, the hens will eat anything smaller than themselves, so I wount be puting any seedlings out in the BG I am going to do a few pots and put some of the flowers etc down the lottie, if anything I've got matches then i'll comment of course.
