Aw bless you Maggy!!! ;D Is it in flower now, if so I'm assuming it's a group 2 - the leaves look group 2 anyway. I would guess first off that it's Elsa Spath because of the dark stamens. It's a beauty whatever it is!!

I pruned it too much last year and lost a years flowers but it is looking good this year it has just opened up this weekend.

Well don't prune it until after flowering, and cut it back to a MAXIMUM of about a half. If you prune carefully, and do the stems at different lengths, you'll get flowers spread fairly evenly across the plant next year, and possibly some in the autumn this year.

Thanks plocket, its common sense really but I will of lopped straight across as I do it in the Autumn when its getting chilly ! when everything gets a good tidy up.

Nah you need to do it before Autumn Maggy so it can produce the new shoots to flower from next year, or in the autumn ;D I'm glad you think I'm right, because I'm fairly confident too
