Anyone growing these? I bought a collection of them and despite following instructions to the letter, I havent seen any life in them yet. Im hoping that Im being impatient, but worried that I have somehow done something wrong

Oh dear. Sorry Sweetie, I've never grown them before...I do hope they haven't died! Did you get them from T&M? Get on the email and ask for advice from them.....

I have never grown them either, except the one for the pond and it's doing well atm. Where are they and how long have you had them for? They need really moist conditions to do well, I believe. I expect you know that don't you? Keith

Keith Ive had them about a month and Ive kept them moist, and warmish, (porch) so I did expect something by now, they live next door to my Brugmansia "cutting" which is going great guns now! ;D

I've got quite a collection. Mine aren't showing yet but they will.
Aethiopica doesn't quite die down in the winter - I have 2, both in pots. One is the white one and the other is Green Goddess which is a fantastic flowerer and seriously beautiful.

Where are your plants Mick? Are they in the Greenhouse or in the house, or garden?

In the garden now but stored in the greenhouse in winter. Aethiopica stays out all year round. Try to get Green Goddess - it is really beautiful.

I already have it on my Birthday list! I shall end up buying it myself with any spare cash I have of course, leave it to the family and they will get "something like it"

Hi SL...just seen this thread. I had a few last year but out of 4 only one put on any growth. I put 'Green Goddess' in the ground (as advised in the packaging) but it didn't grow...fingers crossed it'll come up this year.... I have one in a large pot that was stored in the shed over winter...got it out last week and started giving it some water...but nothing as yet.

One of mine is flowering I cant get close enough to check the label, its at the back of the pond, but its beautiful, creamy with a dark centre..... the others only have leaves including Aethiopica which is in the pond. Im going to try to get a pic in a while, when I can get some shoes on, cant quite reach my feet as yet! Still dont have Green Goddess, though.

I just wrote about that on the Banter Box! It really is great value and has flowered for months. The others are getting going now and a white flowered one with white spotted leaves is performing well.
On "Green Goddess" there is a house near the office where the flower is yellow and green rather than white and green. Very striking.

It looks better than mine. I bought one about a month ago and when it got windy one night I moved it, alongwith other plants, by the house. I noticed a couple of days ago, it had dried out a bit. How, with all this rain we have been having!! Hope it recovers.

Its probably been too sheltered by the house Keith, they need loads of rain water it seems, for good growth, just dont give them tap water though! I keep having to top up the compost it keeps washing away from the bulbs/corms? and exposing them to the drying effects of the wind.
