Well said, Im uncomfortable with the list of symptoms though, the beatific smile is missing, as is the seemingly endless pile of empty seedtrays just begging to be filled.......... Supermarket bargains are also missing Plus the bloodhound instincts that allow you to sniff out the plant stall in any market......... But having said that

Having listed what I thought were the last few packets of seeds to sow on the Thoughts thread I've got them in front of me and there are quite a few left! Gourds, Stachys, Aubergine, Pepper, Delphinium, Lupin, Nepeta, Nigella (different darker blue - looks luffley), Sweet Marjoram, Lavender "Munstead", Garlic Chives, Bells of Ireland, Sweet William (Dark dark dark - oo, can't resist ), Leeks, Carrots, Bob's beans(!), 3 types of Fr Beans, Runner Beans and the climbing French Purple Beans which are BEAUTIFUL (gotta have them)......and I was being really strict with myself I thought...there are more in the old seed ice cream tub........ later.......I've sown just a few Nigella, Peppers, Aubergines and Gourds. And a half tray each of Lavender, Garlic Chives. Marjoram, Leeks, and Bells of Ireland. When I opened the packet of the dark gorgeous Sweet William there were hardly any seeds in there I hate it when that happens.

I don't seem to have killed my seeds by spraying them with anti bacterial spray by mistake! The Lavenders, Marjoram, Sweet Williams and Bells of Ireland are all germinating now. Which is a relief!

Time to get smallest from school. It's Friday therefore it's sweetie day - she'll force me to get myself a Magnum - even though I hate chocolate. Sigh. It's a hard life. See you later but if not - have a nice weekend. X

They are climbing french beans dear, thats all he could tell me. He also said he had lost all his stock because he had kept them in the bin cupboard and the dustman must have taken them..... Its ok though, I can give him some back so all is not lost

Just spent a FINE afternoon pricking out and potting on on the kitchen table with Rodrigo Y Gabrielle on VERY loud. Lovely. I have 40 Sweet Basil (another 40 odd to do), 20 Purple Basil and 15 Anise Basil so far. Repotted about 40 tomato plants and 15 courgettes too. LOTS more to do.......but I do feel soooo much better.

Hiya 4P...I've been on a tour of inspection of the CF and GH...the cold snap we're having here seems to have slowed everything down...BUT my Scabious 'Ace of Spades' have germinated ;D (also have heuchera 'Metallica' seedlings so the heavy metal theme is well represented... ;D)

Finally managed to get into the veggie garden and this afternoon I've sown some more carrots, spring onions and radishes and found a lot of Dahlias coming up which I've moved as they were right in the middle of my row of parsnips. Nice bonus. AND had my first peas fresh out of the pods! Scrumptious.

Just pricked out over 50 Lavender and Bells of Ireland seedlings. The latter were a bit leggy so I hope they'll be alright. The Lavender look really healthy though. I love the way they smell of lavender even though they're so tiny - valiant souls they are. Basil is the same. It's amazing how something so tiny can be so scented when it's putting so much energy into growing - nature IS wonderful! It's also amazing that I can smell Lavender, Basil and Fennel but I can't smell when the toaster is burning the toast Good though!

Today I sowed some Perennial sunflowers, some Purple basil and Trapaeolum (and then I got out into the garden, and trimmed the hedges, which wasnt anywhere near as much fun), never mind I have salad stuff to sow now so off I go again

Purely by chance I have just come across one of the largest seed lists that I have seen - B & T World seeds. Their cacti and succulent lists are tremendous but that's only a tiny fraction of what they have - have a look.

I like that site Mick. I'm going to order some more Sanguisorba seeds from them and have another go......I sowed a tray of Hollyhocks and another of Echinacea this morning. Then I noticed Mum's white Astrantia had ripe seeds so I nabbed them and sowed them too.
