Just noticed a Bee upside down in water in one of my pots Poured the water out gently and Mr Bee got out and climbed onto a plant; I noticed he climbed right to the top - maybe to dry out Then he got his little hands and started to rub his hair dry - well it looked very much like that I hope he will be OK

FB <groan>
Just checked up on him and his little yellow head all dry and fluffy again and his wings look more dried out - he has now moved to a flower head so maybe drinking some honey to give him strength

Aahh, excellent, well done JW.
Last year if we saw one in 'trouble' we would put some honey by them to give them a boost.

No, you are not the only one Jenny - I make a point of recuing bees that run out of ooomph. I rescued one the day before yesterday, and again one today. Although the one I rescued today didn't need rescuing. It was very dozy and I tried spoon feeding it with honey (which I keep handy just for that purpose) and it had one mouthful and flew off!!!
