I have two that are self seeded and I pruned them into "trees" rather than bushes as the bushes can be very invasive - well not in Holland tho They have dead flower heads on them - do you know if I should cut these off am sure read somewhere to leave them on but at some stage they will need to be cut off as they look really ugly Back to thread.....

Dont worry about staying on "thread" conversations flow better if they are natural I find, we arent ever going to get worried about the odd departure, lifes too short.

JW if you have'nt already pruned, you can prune your Buddlea Davidi now. They flower on new growth so if you want lots of flowers now's the time to do it.

It has a Wasp's body and butterfly wings! Watch out for any 'eggs' it might be laying on your lovley healthy lettuce- I haven't seen many butterflies yet- but this weather might bring a few more out. The 'honey' bees are around - but I am never quick enough to get any photographs- Well done FB a good photograph of your butterfly.

I was teasing FB when I met him at Sheffield Park over that lovely photo he took of the butterfly on the hoe. I've never known a butterfly hang around after something gets close.

I think it might be a Painted Lady FB. I was watching a thing about them on the BBC news this morning. They say we'll have a good few of them this year.
