Was at a G/C at the weekend, nothing new there then, when we saw this plant. It was at the, take your purchases to the checkout stage, or I would have asked someone. Jennifer thought she had found it in the perrenial section, but it was a Lobelia, but it wasn't it. It looks familiar, but can't put my finger on it. Can anyone help? Excuse the quality, I was a bit hurried at the time and was using my mobile.

Hi Keith Sorry I have no idea, but it's a lovely plant and wouldn't mind it in my garden. Look forward to finding out it's name.

I've never seen it before either - hope someone else'll recognize it or I'll start delving for you.

I thought at first it might be a Cardinal flower (Lobelia laxiflora) but having googled I don't think the leaves are the right shape. My only other suggestion is a Pineapple Sage - are the leaves scented? I don't think that's right either though.... : It certainly is a stunning plant

Yes, I think so too, that's why I suggested Pineapple Sage, The witch. I dunno which one though.

Sorry to disagree Sleepy, but I'm fairly sure it's not..... These ID posts drive me mad! I hope someone can positively ID it soon....

I don't think it is that one and to go through that list, people really will think I am ignoring them. I will have a look later, when no one else is around, thanks The witch.

I was starting to get worried. Why, have you done something wrong??? I had a problem with a space, it c***ed up nearly the whole thread.

is it an agastache?...like apache sunset or something? Don't know, but I will have a look. Could it be a ginger lily, as I have seen a few pics of flowers, not not too much of their foliage? Oh why didn't I ask someone!!! Think I may have to go back this weekend, doesn't it? ;D

I sent an email to that site, The witch and it's definately not a salvia. Robin sent me a reply within 2 hours (wow!!) and he thinks it is one of these, though he thinks it is rather invasive, as the one he has in his UK garden is taking over!! I still might go to the G/C to confirm this, do I need an excuse, so maybe 90% there now!
