I see she's twice divorced - bit of a clue there...

I saw this lady being interviewed the other day. She fills her pool with rainwater and adds nothing to it at all, The witch. She was great actually but I think because she lives alone she can do all these things....I have, reluctantly, decided that it is much harder to live an 'earthy' lifestyle if you live with someone who doesn't share your aims, and virtually impossible if you have children....not that that's a reason not to keep trying, of course.

The Telegraph link says that "She swims 50 lengths a day in her 14ft rainwater pool, which she keeps topped up with eco-friendly chemicals. And even makes her own make-up and medicines". 50 lengths in a 14' pool isn't that much though really, is it?

.... well I hope I look as she does, when I'm her age. ;D I wonder what eco-friendly chemicals she puts in the pool she swims in? I wondered that, too!

I don't see why it would necessarily be too acidic The witch...although I'm sure she has tubs of calendula cream etc...

The pH of normal rain is about 6, isn't it, it's something to do with the carbon dioxide in the atmostphere! Just Googled it and the pH is 5.6, well I was close enough, wasn't I? www.scholarshipsinindia.com/answer/pH_of_rainwater.html

She certainly looks good on it. I hope I look like that at her age (God I look older than her now) Much easier to do when you live on your own. :
