It was all Lubbily. The Strawberries we're what we planted last year and left in situ. Don't know what variety they are, Emsey bought them from the Co-op and they don't tend to let you know the variety name.

I've just had the same meal as Debbi, with the same produce, except I had a joint of pork with crispy crackling-slurp. I used the cabbage water and meat juices in the gravy, but while I was multi tasking as usual, I went to put a dash of washing up liquid in to the meat dish, to help it soak, add I added it to the gravy on the hob

This Sunday it will be interesting.....
I am working from 0900 on Saturday until 0900 on Sunday.
I wonder if anyone will do anything about Sunday's dinner?
Will they wait until I get up and ask whether I'm cooking anything ? should I take responsibility and at least buy something that one of us can cook? or shall I leave things to chance?

My mom has the same reaction if she goes out anywhere or comes around to me, my dad always phones her to ask what's for dinner and when she'll be back to cook it!

tut tut...mind you, we ladies do make a rod for our own back really don't we? even if we go out to work we still do the majority of the domestic chores...I get quite defensive if OH suggests he cooks....so he's prolly given up asking...

I don't care what OH cooks for me...as long as I don't have to cook it...I HATE cooking! I am bored to tears with it....although funnily enough, I enjoy it if I'm just making a meal for me........

Simon does a lot of the cooking in our house, although I'm more than capeable, I started to refuse to cook, because I'd ask what he wanted for dinner in the morning before he went to work (not a problem now he works from home) and I'd have it ready for when he got home, when he turned up, he'd say he didn't fancy it, and would go and cook himself something else!! Leaving what I'd cooked to go to waste! So I never did anything until he got home, which could've been as late as 8.30 then he'd moan if I'd done something for myself earlier!!! So I just leave him to do his own most of the time.

It's a bind isn't it? having to come up with delicious meals for our families every single day....I have been cooking for my OH for over 30 years now...and we seem to go through phases. A few years ago we seemed to live on curries! lately it's been stir fries all the time.... Also...more often than not I've cooked roast chicken for Sunday Lunch...I am famous around the family for my gorgeous and tasty roast chicken...my kids would walk miles for one of my Roast Chicken dinners..... OH informed me the other week that he's not keen.....only taken him 30 years to tell me....

I do most of the cooking in our home. My wife cooks cakes and puddings, but I do all the main meals like roasts etc.
I enjoy cooking and my wife enjoys eating, so we are a perfect match!
We often have a large Roast Chicken on Sunday and I can stretch the cold meat out to last most of the week. Tonight we are having cold chicken with home grown pumpkin, brussel sprouts, boiled potatoes, carrots and leeks in white sauce.

I do all the cooking and I'm not very good at it, it took me a few years to realize I wasn't improving with experience. Luckily OH eats anything!
