Plant 2Errrrrm what can I tell you about this plant. It is an evergreen Perennial which has cropped up in different places in my garden, has tall spikes in the summer with Pinky/lilac flowers on it going down the stem from the top, imagine a Verbascum or Foxglove but the flowers are very small. Plant 3Again this is a perennial and has cropped up all over my garden I think it is some sort of Daisy ( white flowers, yellow centre.) because I remember it growing in the garden a few years ago, but would love to put a name to it. Can't think of anything else to tell you. - Any idea's Please Thanks Ali.x

Plant 2 has to be some sort of euphorbia. doesn't it? Have you ever tried taking a piece off to see if it bleeds, but be careful if you do, it may give you a rash?
Not sure of plant 3
I never am brilliant at plant identification.

I'm pretty sure it isn't a Euphorbia, the flowers are nothing like it. Euphorbia's have bracts as apposed to flowers, unless it is one I have never seen. Sorry about picture 3 it was getting dark so the flash came on, will try and get a better picture tomorrow.

It's the fact that no. 2 is evergreen which is throwing me. I would've said Euphorbia too by it's appearance but the flowers don't sound Euphorbia-like. BUT it has spikey leaves like a Purple Loosestrife and the flowers sound about right but I don't think that's evergreen though. But it does crop up everywhere so that bit sounds right. Purple Loosestrife? Botanical name Lythrum - something?

No 2 - Purple Toadflax maybe? but I think the leaves are too wide for that. That's another cropper-upper.

I'm not very good at IDing either! But I think the second plant is an OxEye Daisy, Ali. Hi 4P Think your right After doing a lot of googling I found a description of the leaves at the base of the plant - Spoon like - which is just what they look like, and the flowers seem right too although it's a few years since I've seen them in the flesh. BTW. I have some in pots so if you would like some for GW Live, you are more than welcome. Can bring them to Kew with me. Hi MrsB. I think you are right too, again after trawling though loads of pictures I found this one. www.floralimages.co.uk/plinarpurpu.htmBut this was the clincher davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/25453/What do you think. Well Done both of You.

The Linaria (Toadflax) can be a pest Ali, be careful to dead head it, or youll be pulling it up by the barrowload! Its popular with bees though, and Butterflies love it ;D
