All my collection are grown in pots, mostly the bog standard terracotta colour plastic pots that you find in G.C's.
The specimen plants however usually get bespoke pots.
My problem relates to the very small plants which, even on maturity, may not need bigger than a 2" pot. My problem is that pots less than 3" are now hard to find.
If any of you do find those sizes could you let me know?
Black or green pots would be quite acceptable btw.

Mick - do you have a local florist which also sells bedding plants? If so, ask them to rummage at the back - they generally have loads of old pots in all sizes including the dinky litte ones ... cheers ...

Wilkinsons do shuttle trays full of tiny pots for a couple of quid Mick. How tiny SL? Less than 2" is too small. I don't know if we have a Wilkinsons down here.

Have a look at the following links Mick ;D www.rainbowfloristsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Terracotta.htmlwww.oasis-iow.com/product.asp?P_ID=404Thanks The witch. The only problem is that they are terracotta which dry out too fast although I can get round that by varnishing the inside. I have to say that terracotta looks much nicer than plastic though.

I have to say that terracotta looks much nicer than plastic though. Could you put a plastic pot into a terracotta pot to save you having to vanish the insides Mick? You'd have to put it in a bigger pot and it would still dry out too fast and it would look a bit naff and you're using 2 pots for one plant when I'm already short. Otherwise it was a very good idea ;D I don't mind the varnishing though. It stops the salts coming through and keeps the pot nice and clean. I've already got quite a few like that (bigger ones mainly).

There is a small nursery near me which I visited this morning. The young lady who runs it is lovely so I asked her if she knew where to get your little pots Mick. She says the smallest she knows of are only 3"..but she suggested you might be able to cut down the little module trays that are about atm for seeds...I think they might be a bit too flimsy for you but it's worth a thought.
