Well Ive just repotted my moth orchid! I found a clear plastic Quality Street round dish and burned holes in the bottom it works a treat. ;D
I had to cut a couple of the aerial roots and I did as you said C3Ds and dusted them with cinnamon, it looks much better now it is back sitting in the compost instead of falling out.

I bought an orchid for Mothering Sunday for my mom and it is in my house. I can't remember the name of it but the cat has taken a liking to it!
Last week I caught her 'batting' the buds off with her paws and hitting the flowers! Yesterday she was nudging the stems with her nose. Hubby has said she was playing with it when he collected her on Saturday.
Do all cats do this or is just this little kitten (nearly 8 months old)? I do keep moving the plant - it's almost dizzy!

I expect she's just discovered the Joy of Plants.........or maybe that it's quite fun playing pingpong...one of my cats, Wilbur, used to do a similar thing with my Spider plant many moons ago. Dunno if it's wise to let it continue though - are they dangerous for cats to eat? She might start chewing on it soon.....

I think it's the way the flowers hang on the plant and 'flutter' when she taps them, but like you I don't know if they are dangerous to cats.
