I know some of you like going to car boot sales or rummaging around in charity shops etc. I thought it would be nice to start a thread to see what everyones most prized 'find' is. Mine as I mentioned on another thread was a lovely embroidered picture I got for £1.50 Sean knocked the stall holder down from £2.00 He's so cheeky. I'd love to show you a pic but I cant get it to upload. Its a 30's style (made in the 30's I think.) country cottage scene. some hilly patchwork fields with a flower lined lane to the forefront. All in a rustic square frame. I love it.

However I have picked up some treasers in the past: The printers draw that I have in my lounge was from a car boot sale near Cheltenham The pH meter I mentioned earlier was from a car boot sale in Doncaster. I bought a papier mache japanese tea service - 6 plates, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 spoons. All in perfect condition, in a velvet lined box from a car boot sale in Southampton. The twisted willow tree in my garden came from a car boot sale in Southampton.

Ohhh car boots sales far from home........I love going to carboot sales when I'm away from birmingham, not that that happens much! In the summer we tend to go to hams hall or furnace end tamworth. Its sounds like you have a good 'eye' Sleepy. I enjoy looking at the plant stalls too, they are usally cheaper than GC and just as nice, just a limited selection.
