The most exotic birds we see around here (apart from the occasional escaped budgie) are goldfinches....oh...and sparrowhawks I don't think I've seen a yellowhammer...are they the ones that sing ' a little bit of bread and no cheese'?.......

I see Yellowhammers periodically in my garden - little groups of them for a few days and then they disappear. They are beautiful aren't they? There were lots about in the Spring so I was hoping to see a few babies but no luck.
