If you click on the link in my first post you can hear one Sean - they sound a bit like dolphins to me. I must admit that I have never seen one, although I do hear them.

I have been lucky to have seen a few, when I was a kid. First time I saw one, I thought it was a kestrel out late, but when I spent a further 30 minutes looking and listening realised my mistake! I was only about 8 at the time!! Well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it! ;D They are heard more than they are seen, which is a pity really. The witch, you like making me homesick again for my childhood haunts don't you!? Keith

Sorry Keith I will let you off, just makes me even more determined to go back there for a day soon. Eldest wants to as well, so maybe next school holidays!! It's not as if it's that far, either is it? Keith
