Can I introduce Poppycat, our office kitten to you? She has us all wrapped around her little paw! She is about 18-20 weeks old and lives in our office - she is supposed to be micing and ratting (we have a joinery shop so plenty of sawdust etc and we are next to the canal)! She's too sweet and too little yet. Not quite computer literate yet, but she does like the office assistant dog!

How did you guess!
She's coming home with me for Christmas, will she settle back at the office afterwards though? We finish on the 21st and won't be back until the 2nd and it's a lot to ask someone to go in twice a day to look after her and I can't bear the thought of her being left alone - if you have pets they should be looked after and I did point this out to them when they said they wanted a cat.

My lovely cat that I had for 18 years used to come everywhere at weekends with me at one point as I had nobody to look after her at the time. So she used to accompany me up the motorway and always settle quite happily at my friend's house, not having to stay in and then two days later we'd be back down the motorway and home again. It completely unphased her. Hopefully Poppycat'll adapt too. She already knows you which is probably more important in a cat's mind than where she is - that was the case with my Cleo. Poppycat is beeeooootiful! ;D

I think you all know me too well! ;D
The silk planter has taken a battering - bare stalks! She is in the dog-house today, banned from the upstairs offices - she clawed the leather settee and chair! She's sulking in the aluminium shop next door where the men have made her a little bed!
MrsBeige, we did see a cat being walked on a lead at a Land Rover show one year! They were camping and didn't want to leave the cat out!

Wood, rope, and carpet is all they are.

I could give you the dimensions of one of mine if that would help One really has to keep a sharp eye on what is being discussed. What with slots being too small, and I can give you the dimension of mine... the mind races!!!

But what happens at the weekends, Myrtle? Poor little soul doesn't get left there for 2 days does she? I put my foot down about that when they said they were having a cat! Usually, it's the boss and he comes down twice a day to sort her out (he also checks on the premises etc.). Mind you, the one Saturday he had a wasted journey, he came down and let her out, came back to feed her and let her in by which time another chap had called in to use the car park, saw her and let her in! Maggyd, I know one look and we give in to her!

Is she coming home with you for Christmas? Yes ;D I don't want to risk her being left if people say they will call in and then don't - it wouldn't be fair to her and I'll only worry! The boss is very good and calls in every weeked but he will be away over Christmas and the New Year. For me (and of course Poppycat) it is the best solution.

I thought I would take her food from here as she's used to that but perhaps with an odd little treat! We are having a goose!

Well, I've brought Poppycat back to work today - she has been wondering around her territory just to check on everything! She seems fine - I was more upset!
She was very good over the Christmas, only lost her once for an hour or so on the Saturday - we knew where she was, in the trees at the house at the back of us, but she wouldn't come to us - too busy stalking the birds! After that we didn't let her out so she watched them from the windows. She has had plenty of fuss and play, new toys, sleep (most nights waking us up for a cuddle and snuggling her little face into ours). I have said that if the very cold weather we have been told to expect arrives, I will not leave her here as she doesn't have heating on downstairs (well she does today, boss isn't back yet), but I'll see, it may upset her to keep moving her. We don't think she should be an office/factory cat, she should be a home cat snuggling up by the fire, but she seems happy and that is the main thing.
Sorry to go on!

I'll blame Autumn Fruits if she goes missing ;D (They think I'm mad anyway so will be looking for someone called Autumn Fruits probably!) She's taken half of my office chair up this afternoon asleep, kept my back warm though!
