Here's a couple of photos of LP's birthday bunny - a little female she's called Pudding. An apt name as she doesn't seem to have stopped eating!!! She's really cute though and LP is going to find it difficult leaving her to go to school tomorrow!

It is isn't it? She's a Lionhead which is a relatively new breed apparently, but they are supposed to be fairly small rabbits, and good natured too. She certainly is a little sweetie but I have a feeling she might need a bit of grooming - the wood chips stick to her fur!!!

PML we should have called her Punky! Except that LP doesn't know what a punk is!!! And I am NOT going to start cultivating dandilions - there are millions growing just over the road so we can easily raid there. We are training Pudding to use a litter tray at the moment - so far it's going well

Gosh really? I had no ideas you could train a rabbit to do that. There's hope for the chickens then..... Pudding is Beeeoooootiful!!I bet LP can't wait to tell all her friends at school about her.

My sil had two rabbits and they use a litter tray, she used to have them in the house but they have two puppies now so bilbo and throwdoe are outside, they're massive with thick arctic style coats, ones grey and ones peach. Something tickles me about the name bilbo the rabbit sil always signs cards from the animals too. Smallest wont be able to handle the rabbits eniough, the more the better, sil's rabbits are horrible

Aw poor rabbits being called horrible! I love the names though!
Apparently if you put some of their droppings into the tray they smell them and go to the same spot again. Pudding hasn't got it 100% right yet but she's getting there!

They look lovely but are anti social and because they are so big you cant pick them up.

Oh the poor things Hopefully Pudding won't get sick of LP's attentions LP sat in the pen this afternoon and stroked Pudding (yesterday Pudding was more skittish) and then Pudding even started to climb onto LPs lap. I think they are bonding!!!

ahhh bless, I had to take one of the guinnea pig to the vets last week as the other piggy had bit her! I didn't realize til there was green puss coming out of a tiny wound behind her ear. I had to wash and squeeze the wound and give anti biotics twice a day. They seem to get on so I don't know why it happened? If it happens again I may have to buy another hutch. Stick to one rabbit!

Don't worry we are going to! The cat "met" Pudding today. She came into the garden while LP was in the pen with Pudding - Pudding thumped her feet on the ground when Poppy started sniffing about but soon relaxed when I shooed Poppy away. And Poppy got lots of cuddles afterwards so she didn't feel left out I hope your GP gets better quickly - I can't imagine having to treat such a little creature. BTW my rabbit book says that I need to check that Puddings bum is clean every day, to ensure she doesn't get some bug or other. Is this right?

I'm not sure a photo will come out too well because it's in the garage, but it's 8.6ft long at the bottom, and about 6ft at the top, and is on two storeys. It's a mansion!!! At the moment Pudding only has the smaller top area - we've put a lid on the hole where she could go downstairs - she's finding the wood a bit slippery and I don't want her to hurt herself. It's not as if she's a large rabbit and needs all that space anyway!

Is this right? as long as you handle the bunny eveyday, you'll always notice if theres any kind of problems, eyes ears or bottom. apart from her main her fur is short so that shouldn't cause any botty probs, just keep to the food she is used to and plenty of fresh veg and she should be fine.

We're giving her the same food that she was having from her breeder, and she seems to love it. And greens! I've been putting her in the garden for a little while every day too so that she gets some fresh air, but that might change in the winter! I'm getting quite attached to little Pudding
