Ohhh i'm so sorry ali  Thats so upsetting, I bet the kids were heartbroken (and oh and yourself) Did anyone see what happened? Did she die right away? I hope so. I bet the other cats are lost without her. |

No, no one saw what happened, and yes it was instant - thank goodness. - we are all very upset. - Thats why I just couldn't talk yesterday. I don't like telling people bad news but I felt that you should all know. She was a lovely cat and will be sorely missed. I forgot to say TC and Monty are very sad. TC is especially lost. |

Horrible news for all the family, of course I knew on the day as Ali and I spoke that night but the kids didnt know at that point. I hope they are coping better now, with all the distractions that school offers.  for all of you Ali xxx |

Sorry to hear this Ali. Our cat got run over too and I know how I felt. He went missing for five days (so unlike him) and when I put notices up, a neighbour told me he got hit by a taxi! Still couldn't believe it, until he showed me where he buried him! Not a good thing, as he looked a mess and will never forget that! He was so good around cars, always ran a mile, so why? This is why we have dogs now, always know where they are. Well should do! Hope you and your cats get over this soon. Thinking of you. Keith P.s. Sorry I missed this earlier.  |

Thanks keith. Sorry you have lost a cat too. My cats are the same always skitish even if we start up the engine of our car, they run a mile.  I think she might have been running away from TC or Monty - They were always playing chase. and a car was coming up the road too fast as usual.  |

Ali, I missed this thread - I am so very sorry. It must be terrible for you all. I know how much you all loved her. Poor little cat......but at least her short life was filled with love and fun. She had the best and nicest family possible to look after her XXX

 Oh Ali Im so sorry I really feel for you and your Family its such a sad loss but you couldnt have done anything, cats are such free spirits and dont see danger I just hope it was quick and the little soul didnt suffer. Love Maggy.xx

Thank you all so much for all your kind words, it has been a very stressing time of late. Not only with the loss of Poppy but also the stress of Mum & Nan. Poppy was a wonderful cat/kitten full of love and fun and was given all the love we could. We miss her terrible. - everytime I look at the holly trees I will think of her in the upper most branches meowing because she thinks she is stuck, or running up the garden at 90 miles an hour, or just sitting on our laps purring her head off. Some happy news to tell you.Last Friday I got a new kitten for TC. He has been so forlorn and lost I felt sorry for him. Introducing Fuzzle ( Fuzz for short.)  It didn't quite go to plan though, as TC and Monty were not impressed to begin with. Although things are settling down now. A couple of new pics of Monty and TC.

Talking of cats I had to take Merlin to the vets the other day. He had broken one of his fangs and it was hanging loose and causing him discomfort. The vet pulled it out with a pair of pliers! No anasthetic or anything - poor puss. He's happy though.
