As some of you know I have had loads of cats over the years and last year I lost Charlie - my baby. I was heart broken and it took me a long time to have cats again. - But….. At Easter,’ Monty’ turned up at a neighbours door. - He was thin and hungry, but my neighbour couldn’t take him in because of her cats. So I said I would adopt him if he accepted us. ( I couldn’t see him go to the RSPCA. ) This is Monty He is the most laziest cat I know and has the nickname of Mr. Lazybones. Then at the weekend my OH saw an advert for kittens for sale. So we brought home Poppy and TC. (top cat) PoppyTC.

Adorable and gorgeous yes, but can be little s*ds. They have already tried out my curtains, inspected the back of the computer and tried to type, run up my trouser leg and given Monty a rough time but I/we love them.
SL Yes we bought them - £10 each but it was worth it. To be honest I don't think they wanted the money really, they wanted to make sure the kittens went to good homes.

Perhaps I should have done that, too two of mine ended up at the RSPCA after being dumped. I heard about it from a friend, months later. In fact the woman dumped her husband her kids and her debt and left the city.

In fact the woman dumped her husband her kids and her debt and left the city. Some people don't deserve to have a family. - Sorry - maybe I am being a bit harsh, - I don't know the circustances. Do you know if the cats found new homes. I hope they did.

The RSPCA couldnt tell me they are swamped with kittens and mine were just two of many, they did rehome 6 white kittens at about the right time but they couldnt/wouldnt tell me where to.
I had to hope though.

They are, if I'm sitting at the computer too long they climb over the sofa walk across the key board then plonk themselves on my lap or climb up on to my shoulder for a cuddle. Monty is not sure about them. When he first met them he growled at them and us. He was very put out. He is starting to get more used to them now though. TC. was playing with his tail this morning but he got a gentle tap - no claws. Hopefully in time they will all be friends.

They're beautiful! And Monty looks VERY happy with his lot. He'll get used to them, he's only been with you for a couple of months himself, not long enough to get too territorial....and if he's Mr Lazybones it's all going to be too much effort anyway.

Hi noidea - thanks. A long time ago I used to have a cockatiel and a cat - they got on alright. Hi Mrs Beige - I think that picture was taken before we had the kittens. And don't you believe it he is already territorial. but it's more growling than anything cause he can't be bothered to anything else. If it gets too much for him he dissapears upstairs for a nap. Hi Maggyd - Thanks I think I will need it, although at the moment they are still doing a lot of sleeping.

Hi Karen - We are already having fun, not much work gets done when they are awake they are sooo funny too watch. Hi Plocket - There getting on fine. - Sleeping at the mo but earlier today TC. was having a ride round in one of LM's truck - it was so funny. I had forgot at the time that your cat was named Poppy, BM. chose the name, I hope LP. doesn't mind. Poppy is is also called pops for short. You should get one, LP would love it and much more friendly than a rabbit.

Of course LP doesn't mind - she thinks its great that there are two Poppies - and ours is Pops for short too ;D Our friend got a new puppy on Friday and LP was so besotted with it - I don't know what breed it is, but it was incredibly fluffy, and so gentle. I still think she wants a rabbit though
