I'll be doing them - with lemon juice and sugar!
As a child we always had pancakes as a dessert, hubby's mom only gave them pancakes on the evening. He thought when he had his main course when we first met that he wasn't getting his pancakes only to find he had to eat them afterwards!

Im good at pancakes, but they used to turn out better using my mums old cast iron pan, you just cant buy a good pan these days, nothing ever stuck to mums pan, ever. I still soldier on, though! Do you all buy mix, or do you make your own?

BTW the whole point of pancake day was to use up all the flour and fat, ready for Lent, I wonder if most people are aware of that?

I make My own mix, but I do pick up loads of packets of the mix when its reduced after pancake day If mine are good they are good, but on a bad day the whole lot stick and the house fills up with smoke and I swear-a lot

Apart from the first one or two. :

I'll be making some...I have a pancake pan ! bought when I was suffering from Post-On-Call-Shopping-Syndrome.... ;D
When you've just worked for 24-36 hours without a break, if you should happen to wander into a shop on your way home from work...there is a distinct possibility that you will buy completely inappropriate articles...I remember well the time I came home from a particularly harrowing on-call with a pair of lime green leggings and a lime green tee shirt with yellow spots on it....(never worn...went in a charity bag because OF COURSE I lost the receipt)
On-Call causes the complete atrophy of the Good-taste-hypocampus in the shopping area of the brain...
The pancake pan is actually one of my more useful purchases....it's non-stick and just the right depth for perfect tossing (if you'll excuse the expression)
and I make my own mix.

I forgot it was the childrens' Brownie meeting last night so it didn't happen. Failed miserably. It won't happen tonight either as my eldest daughter has a 90 minute swimming seesion and my pancakes are the last thing she wants in her stomach in all that water! ;D Everyone's happy with tomorrow being the Pancake day.
