The hard frost of last week is making one of the chili plants in the green house look a bit sad. So I have picked a lot of the chilies from it and made some chili infused oil. Its quiet nice, not too hot, just warm. I got the recipe from the Internet. Called a kiss of heat, basically, you heat up 100ml of veg oil. Though olive oil is thicker. For 1 hour 40 min at 250 F, so the flavor is infused. Filter the oil to take out the bits of chili, I use a tea strainer, and store in a jar or bottle.

That sounds like a nice way to use Chilli's for people like me who aren't keen on 'hot' food. I have some picked too. I used to infuse olive oil with herbs a lot for cooking. I think I'll do this. Thanks ITranter!

What a great idea! 100ml isnt a lot though for all the Chillies I have, I shall have to make several bottles I think.
